About Me

Hey! I am Devansh, a first-year MIIS student at the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. My research interests broadly lie in Natural Language Processing.

Previously, I was a Visiting Associate at the World Well-Being Project, University of Pennsylvania. I worked with Prof. Sharath Guntuku on developing computational methods for precision public health communication in the context of vaccine acceptance in India and Sub-saharan Africa, and with Prof. Lyle Ungar on multilingual topic modeling.

I have also been fortunate enough to intern with Prof. Chris Biemann and Dr. Meriem Beloucif on investigating the semantic capabilities of pretrained language models, and Prof. Luis Espinosa-Anke on zero-shot taxonomy learning using pretrained language models.

I graduated with a MSc. in Economics and a B.E. in Computer Science from BITS Pilani, Pilani, India in 2023. During my time there, I worked on mutlimodal knowledge graph construction with Prof. Poonam Goyal. I was also a core member of the Computer Vision Research Society, where I worked on medical report generation.
